I just have to say I really appreciate the positive comments cos I had some doubts about coming down this road. I wondered if some may object because its not about GD, but to me its everything about GD. Like you, Rosey, I lost people close to me in 2006, especially my best friend and my mother, which partly explains my recent posts. This is part of the grieving process for me and I'm also thinking of all the other families and friends going through the same process just now, especially those who have lost loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan. I also think about Jerry and how the loss of his Dad at such a young age affected him and how he absorbed that pain and returned it to us with such agonising beauty. These days I can't listen to 'he was a friend of mine', sing me back home', 'death don't have no mercy' and others without breaking but I find it so therapeutic, it really lifts me up. And 'Days Between'...
P.S. Direwolf speaks the words of truth. To paraphrase the line in Outlaw Josey Wales 'There is iron in your words of truth' spoken by Ten Bears.

The Grateful Dead have ALWAYS made the hard times, big or little a bit easier to get through for me too...
